Hi, I'm Mike 👋

I’m a passionate frontend developer who enjoys building thoughtful, user-focused experiences. Before career changing, my background was in music and I've worked across sale and teaching rolls, which helped me develop strong soft skills including adaptability, collaboration, and confidence in public speaking and sharing ideas. These experiences shape how I approach development today — with a people-first mindset and an emphasis on clarity and teamwork. Outside of coding, I volunteer at CoderDojo, enjoy tinkering with Raspberry Pis, and help organise local tech events. I value community, sharing knowledge, and bringing people together around technology.

In addition to excellent soft skills, I have a strong technical foundation in TypeScript and JavaScript, with experience building responsive interfaces using HTML and CSS. I have working knowledge of React, some experience with Python, and regularly use Figma and Canva for design and prototyping. I’m a fast learner who enjoys continuously improving both my technical and creative skill sets.
